چکیده
Abstract. Volgo–Uralia is a Neoarchaean easternmost part of the East European craton. Recent seismic studies Volgo–Uralian region provided new insights into crustal structure this area. In study, we combine satellite gravity and data in common workflow to perform complex study structure, which useful for further basin analysis light, model subcraton presented from step-wise approach: (1) inverse modelling followed by (2) 3D forward modelling. [1] Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter (MOLA) topography and gravity models from 5 years of Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) spacecraft tracking provide a window into the structure of the Martian crust and upper mantle. We apply a finite-amplitude terrain correction assuming uniform crustal density and additional corrections for the anomalous densities of the polar caps, the major volcanos, and the hydrost...
متن کاملAn inverse modelling technique for glass forming by gravity sagging
Some optical surfaces are formed by gravity sagging of molten glass. A glass sheet supported on a ceramic former is heated; the glass becomes a very viscous fluid and sags under its own weight until the lower surface is in full contact with the former. The smooth upper free surface is the required optical surface. Its shape is dependent on the initial geometry and, in optical terms, differs sig...
متن کاملCrustal structure and deformation of the SE Tibetan plateau revealed by receiver function data
We analyze a large amount of receiver function data recorded by regional seismic networks of the China Earthquake Administration to estimate crustal structure and deformation beneath the southeast margin of the Tibetan plateau and its surrounding areas. We develop a comprehensive analysis method that facilitates robust extraction of azimuthal seismic anisotropy from receiver function data. The ...
متن کاملBasin Structure Estimation by Waveform Modeling: Forward and Inverse Methods
We introduce a technique for using broadband seismograms recorded from earthquakes at local and regional distances to refine basin structure. For the region outside the basin, we assume a one-dimensional (1D) crustal model and analytical techniques (GRT) to propagate the energy from sources to the basin edge where the motions are then interfaced with a (2D) finite-difference algorithm (Wen and ...
